About Tejdeep
Sat Sri Akal, Namastay, Salaam everyone!
I am an elementary school teacher with the Surrey School District. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and then received my Bachelors in Education as a second degree with a minor in Counselling and Human Development. Currently, I am pursuing a Masters in Counselling. I have always worked with youth in some capacity or another, mainly as a tutor.
I am excited to work with an organization which strives for the continued growth of the Punjabi language! My brothers and I grew up in a small town where Punjabi was not a dominant language. However, my parents kept us rooted to both our culture and language by ensuring that Punjabi was an integral part of our household. We were taught to speak to our elders in Punjabi and I have found that this allowed us to form many connections and relationships over the years. I am proud to share this background with so many members of our community and I look forward to continuing this journey through a new platform!
